Pickly

Terms of use

Pickly helps groups decide things together. These terms are the deal between you and Pickly when you make a poll, vote in one or use Pickly through an AI assistant. By using the site, you agree to them.

Who runs Pickly

Pickly (usepickly.com) is a small independent project run by Arno Boenders in Belgium. Questions about these terms go through the contact form.

Using Pickly

  • You can make polls and vote without an account. An account keeps your polls in one place and lets you manage them. Keep your password to yourself; you're responsible for what happens in your account.
  • Anyone with a poll's link can open it, vote and see its results. Don't put anything in a poll that you wouldn't want the people you share it with, or anyone they pass the link to, to see.
  • Pickly can also be used from AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT. Polls made that way follow these same terms, and the assistant itself follows its provider's terms.

What you put in a poll

What you write and upload stays yours. You let Pickly store it and show it to the people who open the poll, for as long as the poll exists. Don't use Pickly for:

  • anything illegal, or content you don't have the right to share;
  • hateful, harassing, violent or sexual content, or anything involving minors;
  • spam, scams, phishing, or collecting other people's personal details;
  • getting around limits, overloading the site, or reaching parts of it that aren't meant for you.

Anyone can report a poll from its page. We may remove polls or pictures, and close accounts, that break these rules, without notice when it's serious.

Free and Pro

Pickly is free to use within the limits shown on the pricing page. Pro removes some of those limits. If you pay for Pro, the price and period shown when you buy apply, and you can stop it from renewing at any time. We may change the free limits or what Pro includes; changes to a paid plan apply from your next period, and we'll tell you beforehand.

Ending things

You can stop using Pickly at any time, delete your polls under My polls, and ask for your account to be deleted through the contact form. We may stop offering Pickly, or parts of it; if we do, we'll give account holders reasonable notice so they can save what they need.

No guarantees

Pickly is offered as it is. We work to keep it running and your polls safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors, so don't rely on it for anything where a lost poll or vote would cause real harm. Pickly counts the votes it receives; the group decides what to do with the result.

Responsibility

As far as the law allows, Pickly isn't liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits or data, or for what people do with a poll's outcome. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer under Belgian and EU law.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and we'll email account holders about important changes. Belgian law applies. If you live elsewhere in the EU, you also keep the protection of your own country's consumer law and can go to its courts. How we handle personal data is in the privacy policy.
